‘Notes from One other Shore,’ an exhibition showcasing up to date Emarati artwork together with that of artists from Kerala obtained underneath means at Durbar Corridor in Kochi on July 26 (Friday).
The month-long exhibition is being organised by Abu Dhabi-based Rizq Artwork Initiative in affiliation with the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi, Division of Cultural Affairs, and Abu Dhabi Artwork. Minister for Industries and Legislation P. Rajeeve inaugurated the exhibition.
Talking on the event, Mr. Rajeeve hailed Rizq Artwork Initiative for providing worldwide publicity to artists from Kerala.
Shafeena Yusuff Ali, founding father of Rizq Artwork Initiative, mentioned the exhibition supplied a platform for Indo-Arab cultural alternate whereas opening new avenues for artists from Kerala and Arab nations. In his video message, Minister for Tradition Saji Cherian mentioned the exhibition may flip into a world occasion.
The occasion includes a solo exhibition of artist Hashel Lamki curated by Venetia Porter. Works of different up to date Emarati artists Almaha Jaralla, Samo Shalaby, and Latifa Saeed curated by Morad Montazami are additionally being showcased.
Rizq Artwork Initiative had performed an exhibition of 27 artists, together with 14 from Kerala, within the UAE. Bringing the works of artists from the UAE to Kochi is a continuation of that. The exhibition throws mild on the deep-rooted bonding of Kerala and Arab cultures and the lasting friendship and historic ties between India and the UAE.
