Within the newest version of our collection on the journey habits of the wealthy and well-known, we speak to radio presenter Gaby Roslin about reminiscences of Zimbabwe and her angle to skinny-dipping.
First vacation with out your mother and father?
In summer time 1980, I turned 16 and went to Israel to reside on a kibbutz for 5 weeks. We walked within the Negev Desert and stayed on the college campus in Jerusalem – wonderful and life-changing.

How do you get the vacation buzz?
I like flying. It jogs my memory of my childhood after we flew to go to my grandparents in Zimbabwe.
Place you most wish to go to?
I wish to return to Zimbabwe, because it holds so many reminiscences. I like the gorgeous huge expanse of sky, the African sundown and scent.
Most romantic journey vacation spot?
Most likely the place my husband [publisher David Osman] requested me to marry him – in Turks and Caicos within the Caribbean, in 2012. He bought down on one knee and proposed below the celebs.
Ever skinny-dipped on vacation?
No. I am far too self-conscious and I’ve by no means accomplished that in my life. I am fairly shy, so completely no approach am I ever going to skinny dip.
Your journey philosophy?
My mom was a linguist and all the time advised me, ‘Be taught good morning, good night, please, thanks and excuse me’ within the native language and do not presume that everyone speaks English.

Africa. We would go as a household to Victoria Falls and on safari.
